Kuba Jill Timmons Curtis, 75, Sweetser, passed away at 3:00 am on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine. She was born in Isom, Kentucky, on Tuesday, October 3, 1950, to Ed and Janice (Stamper) Lumpkins.
She worked as a Press Operator for years with General Tire in Marion and North American Manufacturing in Fairmount. Kuba had an outgoing nature and never met a stranger. She enjoyed rummaging, growing flowers, and decorating for the holidays. She had a fondness for Pepsi and Reese’s Cups. Kuba will be remembered as a hard-working and friendly social butterfly who will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her husband, Andy Curtis; children, Barry L. Blair of Marion, IN, Phillip K. Blair of Sweetser, IN, Chris Blair of Dothan, AL, Sunshine (Chris) Landgrave of Crown Point, IN, and Jason Curtis of Marion, IN; granddaughters, Whitney (Todd) Alter, Hailey Scott, Jordan (Jason) Harrison, Reese Blair, Sophie Blair, Madison (Joey) Pruitt, Kiley (Caleb) Foster, and Alexandra Landgrave; grandsons, Bryant (Kayla) Blair, Randy Timmons, and Jimi Timmons; great-grandchildren, Raegan, Cash, Brantley, Lakyn, Bryer, Jayce, Rayla, Wrenley, Barrett, and Thomas; sisters, Una (Clyde) Cook of KY, and Judy Amburgey of KY; brother, Edward Wayne (Gwen) Lumpkins of KY; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and honorary sister, Linda Hines; .
She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Lumpkins; mother, Janice Lumpkins; previous husband, Richard D. Timmons; son, Richard D. Timmons, II; and sister, Faye Prater.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
A funeral service to celebrate Kuba’s life will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, with visitation from 10:30 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
