John Sheldon Scott, 62, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 4:22 pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at The Waters of Wabash East. He was born on March 26, 1963, in Hammond, Indiana, to Thomas and Rita (Venable) Dodd.
John was a US Marine Corp veteran and was a member of the Huntington American Legion. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed the thrill of the hunt, fish, or sport, and loved cooking with his trophies.
He is survived by two sisters, Doris (George) Zumik of Wabash, and Heather (John) Dix of New Carlisle, Indiana; nieces and nephew, Willa (C.J.) Hall of Wabash, Autumn Dix, and Jackson Dix, both of New Carlisle; and his forever friend, Sherri Noel. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
