PERU, IN- On Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, The City of Peru Board of Works & Public Safety approved and implemented a NO TURN ON RED traffic restriction at the signalized intersection of North Broadway and 7th Street.
The restriction applies to northbound traffic on North Broadway turning onto Ewing Street. Motorists are now required to wait for a green signal before making the turn. Appropriate signage has been installed and the restriction is currently being enforced.
This change was enacted to improve traffic safety and traffic flow at the intersection. They ask motorists to remain attentive, obey posted signs, and allow additional time while adjusting to the new traffic pattern.
