
Beverly Elshire, 61, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:31 pm, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on August 2, 1964, in Martin, Kentucky, to Robert and Gallie (Owsley) Taylor.
Beverly was a 1982 graduate of Southwood High School, and a graduate of Wabash Beauty College. She married Denny Glenn Elshire in Wabash on June 14, 1997. Beverly worked at Ford Meter Box in Wabash for 38 years. She was an avid bowler, was involved in many leagues, and also competed in state and national tournaments. She was awarded the high average at the National Bowling Tournament. Beverly was also an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and gambling. Beverly also had the skill of sewing and embroidery, making many quilts and afghans.
She is survived by her husband, Denny Elshire; step daughter, Katie (Fred) Gengnagel; grandson, Jeremiah Elshire; sister, Gwen Taylor; and two brothers, Robert L. Taylor and David Taylor all of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Monday, December 22, 2025 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash.
