WABASH COUNTY, IN- The Wabash County Sheriff’s Office would like to warn those traveling to use extra caution on County Roads and local streets. Roadway conditions are hazardous, and many stretches of ice / black ice are present due to the recent warm-up with rain and then a dusting of snow and refreezing.
State and US Highways are much dryer, and mostly safe due to the large number of abrasives that have been used over the last several weeks. County Road and local street intersections are extremely slick leading up to many of the State Road intersections. Please use caution and slow down at a distance before reaching the intersection.
For those parents who may have high school aged youth driving to school after delays, please ensure that they are aware of the County and local roadway conditions.
