
Roy Allan Lane, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 2:23 am, Monday, December 8, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on October 10, 1952, in Marion, Indiana, to Rev. Leroy N. and Lawanda Faye (Pickering) Lane.
Roy worked and retired in 2005 from Wabash Alloys after 34 years. He married Bonnie L. Freeman in Peru, Indiana on April 2, 1972. Roy enjoyed playing his guitar, playing gospel music, and attending his church, the Freedom Life Church in Wabash. He also enjoyed mowing the yard, hunting and fishing, and watching western movies. Roy's joy came from his family, especially his grandchildren and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lane of Wabash, three children, Deena (Tim) Simpson of Wabash, Angie (Jim) Garling of Piedmont, Missouri, and Clint (Casey) Lane of LaFontaine, Indiana, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Nora (Ralph) Johnson of Wabash, Ron Lane of Lagro, Indiana, Lindia (Thomas) Nice of Wabash, and Dianne (Charles) Miller of Lagro. He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Terri Lynn Lane.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Morrisett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:00 - 2:00 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Freedom Life Church.
