MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The Miami County Community Foundation wrapped up its Annual Giving Tuesday Campaign with a well-attended event at the Peru Civic Center, where donors and friends gathered to celebrate the generosity that continues to strengthen the county. Nearly $50,000 was contributed through this year’s effort, reflecting the strong support of community members who invest in Miami County’s future.
The Foundation also announced Gene and Cheryl Miles as the recipients of the 2025 Lifetime Philanthropist Award. Although they were not able to attend the event, their long-standing support, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting impact throughout Miami County. Their example continues to inspire others to invest in the community they call home.
Weather conditions made the day a memorable one, yet Miami County still showed up to give. “Despite the inclement weather, Giving Tuesday was a remarkable success! I was inspired by the strong turnout and grateful for the generosity of everyone who participated. Proof once again that our community shows up to support what matters most!” said Cheryl Broyles, Miami County Director of Development.
Giving Tuesday serves as an annual reminder of what can be accomplished when neighbors, businesses, and friends come together. The dollars raised will continue to create meaningful change for many years.
While this year’s Giving Tuesday festivities have come to a close, the Miami County Community Fund Matching Campaign continues, giving community members and local businesses the opportunity to triple their tax-deductible donations through the ongoing $2:$1 match for any new or existing community fund.
