MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Earlier today, December 5, 2025, detectives from the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division at the Peru Post initiated an investigation at the request of the Miami Correctional Facility into the death of inmate Anthony Barbee, 38 years of age.
Investigators are being assisted by the Miami County Coroner’s Office and Miami Correctional Facility Investigators. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death.
Family notification has been made.
