GRANT COUNTY, IN- On October 27, 2025, personnel from the Marion Police Department Uniformed
Patrol Division, the Marion Fire Department, and Marion Health Emergency Medical Services responded to 1018 W. 10th Street, Apartment C, regarding a possible overdose. Despite lifesaving measures, a 26-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene. Due to indications that the death may have been overdose-related, the J.E.A.N. Team Drug Task Force responded and assumed investigative responsibility.
During the course of the investigation, sufficient evidence was developed to obtain an arrest warrant for Ashley D. O’Loughlin, 34, of Marion, for Dealing in a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death, a Level 1 felony.
On November 15, 2025, Ashley O’Loughlin was located at a residence in Grant County and taken into custody without incident. She is currently being held at the Grant County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
The J.E.A.N. Team Drug Task Force was assisted throughout this investigation by the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office, the Grant County Coroner’s Office, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, and the Marion Police Department.
This investigation remains ongoing. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
