PERU, IN- The Peru Police Department will begin accepting donations for new blankets and new stuffed animals for this year's Christmas for Kids program.
Each year, the Miami County FOP assists children in need with their “Christmas for Kids” program. To go along with what the lodge provides, they have accepted donations from the general public for new blankets, new stuffed and new clothing items. These items are then dispersed to the families the lodge helps during the holiday season and anything that remains is donated to children in need throughout the year.
The department has depleted their supply from last year and are in need of blankets and stuffed animals for this year's program.
If you would like to donate new blankets, new stuffed animals or new clothing items, please contact Detective Mitchell at dmitchell@perupd.org. You may also make a monetary donation towards the program if you choose to do so.
