Miami County Community Foundation invites local women to social gathering

MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The Boomerang Sisterhood Women’s Giving Circle will host its Annual Social Gathering on Tuesday, September 23 from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at Story Church, 18 E 6th Street in Peru. This free event welcomes local women to come together, celebrate the power of giving, and see firsthand how their contributions make a lasting difference in Miami County.

Guests will receive updates from last year’s grant recipients, meet this year’s finalists, and vote to determine how grant funds will be awarded. Membership dues collected throughout the year are pooled to fund grants, and half are invested in an endowment that will support Miami County forever.

“All women are welcome to attend—whether you’re already a member or just curious about how the Boomerang Sisterhood impacts our community,” said Cheryl Broyles, Miami County Community Foundation Director of Development. “When women unite, communities thrive. This circle is proof of how small gifts, given together, can come full circle to create something extraordinary.”

Membership in the Boomerang Sisterhood is open to women of all ages. Annual dues are $120 for women 22 and up, $60 for ages 16–21, and just $12 for ages 8–15. Members who pay their dues by the gathering date are eligible to vote on grant recipients.

The event is free to attend, and RSVPs are encouraged by September 19. To reserve your spot, email jillian@nicf.org or call 574.223.2228.
