HUNTINGTON COUNTY, IN- On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 1:05pm a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound on SR 9 in Huntington County, when for reasons unknown, the vehicle left the west side of the roadway, traveling approximately 300 feet before striking a tree and coming to rest. The unrestrained passenger, Jeremy M. Holley, age 41, of Huntington, was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics from Parkview Huntington Hospital EMS and was extricated from the vehicle by the Mount Etna and Warren Fire Departments.
The driver of the vehicle, Terra Holley, age 44, the decedent's wife, was ground transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of death is multiple blunt force traumatic injuries, and the manner of death is accident. The Huntington County Coroner's office extend their deepest sympathies to the Holley family and friends.
The coroner's office was assisted by the Huntington County Sheriff's Department, Mount Etna Fire Department, Warren Fire Department, Parkview Huntington Hospital EMS, Huntington County Sheriff Traffic Team, Huntington Central Dispatch, and Woody's Towing Service.
