James Allen Bozell

James Allen Bozell, 75, of Wabash, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in his home. He was born on October 21, 1949, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Gerald and Margaret (Carmichael) Bozell.

James graduated from Wabash High School, where he is still a record-holder in wrestling and football. He was a tri-athlete in these sports, as well as golf. Following high school, James dedicated many years of service as a production worker at Ford Meter Box until his retirement.

A man of many passions, James was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge in Converse, the Shriners, 8th Street Wesleyan Church, and New Journey Church in Wabash. He was a golf enthusiast and even served as a golf pro back in the '70s at the Honeywell Country Club. He enjoyed fishing, especially deep-sea fishing, and hunting. He was a devoted fan of Notre Dame football and IU basketball. He also loved to ride his Harley-Davidson.

James is survived by his son, Jason (Karri) Bozell of Wabash; daughter, Shana (Kyle) Schuler of Wabash; grandson, Mikel Knight and three step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson, Dalton (Kayla) Brown, Dylan (Jacklyn) Brown, Kyleigh Brown, and Dreson Brown; several nieces and nephews; and his close friends, Danny and Bev Elshire.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sandra (Ronnie) Taylor and Rita (David) Futrell.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

A Masonic Service will begin at 1:00 pm with a celebration of James’ life immediately following. Pastor Dan Van Cise and Pastor Rob Tippey will be officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
