Orva "Rose" Yonts, 87, of Saint Albans WV, passed away on July 12, 2025, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia. Rose was born August 21,1937, in Clay City, Indiana, to the late Charles and Thelma (Miller) Kent. She was married to Tommy L. Yonts, Sr., for 50 years until he passed away in 2019.
Rose had been a member of First Pentecostal Church in Marion, Indiana, for decades. She had also been a member of Faith Apostolic Church in Marion for a few years. For the last three years, Rose was a member of Hometown Apostolic Church in Hometown, West Virginia.
Rose is survived by her brother, Victor Kent of Marion; sister, Lucy (Don) Sinders of Clay City; children, Tony (Grace) Randol of Marion, Susan (Greg) Charles of Somerset, Donna (Ernie) Courtney of Gas City, and Tommy (Glenda) Yonts, Jr., of Saint Albans, WV; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy L. Yonts, Sr.; three children, Bill Bunch, Alan Bunch, and Bruce Randol; brothers, John Kent and Paul Kent; and sister, Carolyn Phelps.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at First Pentecostal Church, 1116 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Rose's life will begin at 1:00 pm. Rev. Clarence Hand and Rev. Joel Sites will be officiating with burial taking place at Estates of Serenity.
