Christmas in July at Mississinewa Lake, July 12

    MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Join in the weekend of July 12 at Mississinewa Lake’s annual Christmas in July event. Celebrate Smokey Bear’s birthday, decorate your campsite for Christmas campsite judging, and enjoy a pancake breakfast for a free-will donation! Decorate your campsite Friday night for Santa and his elves to judge Saturday morning. Saturday’s events will be held in Miami SRA near the water tower and playground at the front of the campground. 8:30 - 10 a.m. - Pancake breakfast at interpretive shelter, brought to you by Friends of Mississinewa Lake. Donations accepted. 10:30 a.m. – Santa and Smokey Bear leave the interpretive shelter for a parade through the campground with Amboy Fire Department. Follow them to the campground control gate or meet them there for a treat. 11 a.m. – Get a treat and take a photo with Santa and Smokey Bear at campground control gate/playground area (CCG). 11:15 a.m. - Corn hole registration at CCG. $10 per person. 11:30 a.m. - Corn hole tournament at CCG. Double elimination. 1 p.m. - Campsite decorating awards at CCG. For more information, contact Upper Wabash Interpretive Services 260-468-2127.
