Linda McVicker, 61, of Gas City, passed away at 7:45 pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, March 3, 1964, to Thomas and Donna (Powell) McVicker.
Linda graduated from Marion High School. She worked as paraprofessional in the classrooms at Marion Community Schools. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life like crafting, garage-saling, and the thrill of a good game of Bingo. She held deep affection for the people she worked for, treating them not just as coworkers, but as dear friends whose lives she enriched through her kindness and dedication. Her greatest happiness, however, came from time spent with her beloved grandchildren and her cherished dog, Zoey.
Linda is survived by her daughter, April Cox of Kokomo; sons, Zachary Cox, Josh Owens, and Jake Owens; granddaughters, Karmen Thompson, Raimy Cox, Hazel Cox, Trinnite Bovie, Tommie (Jeff Martin) McVicker; sisters, Becky VanNess, Karen (Jerry) Frees; and brother, Dennis (Tammy) McVicker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Donna McVicker.
