Eileen Lynn (Zook) Sparks, 78, of Wabash, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Eileen was born in Muscatine, Iowa to Earl and Wanda (Hampton) Zook on September 21, 1946.
She attended Wabash High School and graduated in 1964. Shortly thereafter, Eileen married her life-long love, Jerry Allen Sparks, and was a mother to three children. She lived and worked her entire life in Wabash in various occupations. Upon retirement, she spent her remaining years enjoying quiet morning worship, coffee and conversation, and walks along the Wabash river. Eileen was a member of Wabash Southside Freewill Baptist Church and loved the Lord and Jesus with all of her heart.
Eileen is survived by her three children, Jennifer (Sparks) Chaplin, Cory Sparks, and Mary (Sparks) Gray. She further enjoyed the enduring love of her granddaughters, Stephanie (Sparks) Smith and Brittany (Sparks) Ibarra, and great-grandchildren, Diego and Lylianna Ibarra and Charlotte Smith. She is also survived by her sister, Karen (Zook) Mueller. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Sparks; her sister, Margo (Zook) Brown, and her granddaughter, Courtney Gray.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2025 at Mississinewa Cemetery, with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. Visitation will be 9-11:00 a.m., Friday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, Indiana.
