Babe of Wabash County Hosts Annual Babe in Toyland Toy Distribution

Wabash, IN – Families in Wabash County who are having difficulty purchasing gifts for their children this year due to differing circumstances, are invited to Babe of Wabash County’s annual Babe in Toyland event on December 17th and 18th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This two-day holiday program, held in partnership with Wabash Christian Church, The Youth Access, and Wabash Friends Church, provides parents and guardians the opportunity to choose the Christmas presents for their children from shelves full of toys at no cost. This is open for children through 18 years of age. Babe in Toyland will take place at Babe of Wabash County, 88 W. Hill St., with registration and hospitality provided at Wabash Christian Church, 110 W. Hill St. Families must show proof of residency (state-issued ID or two pieces of legal mail) and can preregister online. Go to the Babe’s website, and register under EVENTS. It will be possible to register in person on the day of the event. Shoppers will receive points to select toys for their children. Since the rooms in the Babe house are small and stuffed with toys, only 5 families at a time shop. During their wait, families can enjoy a warm meal and a welcoming atmosphere at W abash Christian Church after registering. Volunteers are essential to making Babe in Toyland a success. Community members can help with event setup on December 14th or assist during the event on December 17th and 18th.
