Brenda K. Cottrell, 60, Marion, passed away at 1:45 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Marion Health. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, February 9, 1964, to Charles and Myrtle (Jones) Peterson. She married her loving husband, Jesse L. Cottrell, and he survives.
Brenda was a homemaker, who faithfully served her family. She loved baking all the time, making candy, and always spending time with her grandkids.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her sons, Chris (Michelle) Cottrell of Marion, Shaun (Angela) Logan of Kokomo, and Brandon (Holly) Peterson of Gas City; siblings, Linda, Charles "Darrell", Julie, and Bruce; and grandchildren, Taylor, Dylon, Rilynn, Michael, Jessilynn, Nevaeh, Sophie, Schyler, Kaidence, Noah, Braydon, Chase, and Alexia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gary.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Brenda's life will begin at 3:00 pm with Pastor Paul Bravard officiating.
