Karen Marie Fetrow, 64, of rural Marion, Indiana, died Wednesday morning, August 21, 2024, at her home. She was born on September 22, 1959, in Gary, Indiana, to George C. and Virginia (Davies) Valant.
Karen was a graduate of Merrillville High School. She married John Fetrow in North Manchester, Indiana on March 21, 2009. She worked as a CNA in Crown Point, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband, John Fetrow of Marion; four children, Amanda Bloomer of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Joe (Katie) Bloomer of Wautoma, Wisconsin, Ben (Cyndi) Fetrow of Kendallville, Indiana, and Jennifer Riccius of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister and two brothers, Sheryl Norris of Terre Haute, Indiana, George (Jayne) Valant of Hebron, Indiana, and Larry (Cathy) Valant of Merrillville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7 pm Monday, at the funeral home.
