
Charles Estill Brown, 87, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:00 am, Monday, August 19, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 28, 1936, in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, to Ollie Brown and Faye (Jenkins) Fannin.
Charles worked at Wabash Alloys retiring in 2002. He married Dottie Banks on February 25, 1972 in Wabash; she died April 28, 2017. Charles enjoyed mowing, taking care of his lawn and home, but especially spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by five children; Jack Brown and Teresa Brown, both of Tennessee, Dwayne (Carol) Brown of Minnesota, Loretta Brown of Washington, and Tammy (Scott) France of Wabash, three grandchildren; Jenna Wagner, of Minnesota, Jonah France and Jacob France both of Wabash, and five siblings; Billy (Deb) Brown of Roann, Indiana, Evon Brown, Ida Stamper, Sue Keeton, and Ronnie Brown, all of Morehead, Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, June Stamper, Betty Dehart, and Sandy Becknell.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 23, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the funeral home.
