
Ford D Hawkins Jr., 57, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:50 pm, Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 8, 1966, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, to Ford D Hawkins Sr. and Geneva Colgrove.
Ford was a 1986 graduate of Marion High School. He married Rouie Hannah at the Wabash First Church of God on November 26, 1994. Ford worked at United Technologies in Huntington 25 years, and also owned Hawkins Auto Sales in Elwood, Indiana. He enjoyed tinkering on things, especially cars. He was a fan of NASCAR racing and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
He is survived by his wife, Rouie Hawkins of Wabash; four children, Aaron (Tracy) Griffith of Wabash, Rachel (Ron) Butcher of Marion, Indiana, Hannah Griffith of Wabash, and Shelby (Devin Bitzel) Hawkins of Indianapolis, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, Jaqobie Griffith, Kaitlynn Butcher, Donald Butcher, Khloye Wood, Hendrix Griffith, Remyngton Griffith, Aurelia Napier, Pandora Griffith, Jersey Butcher, Addyson Butcher, and Wylden Napier; sister, Bertha Walton and brother, Jason Colgrove, both of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; mother-in-law Linda Hoover and father-in-law Barry (Judy) Hannah, both of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Friends may call 2-4 pm Saturday, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset, Indiana.
