
Frank A. Barth, 76, of rural Lagro, Indiana, died at 6:22 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 22, 1947, in Muncie, Indiana, to William Howard "Bill" and Bernice (Castorline) Barth.
Frank was a 1965 graduate of Selma High School and was a US Marine Corp veteran serving in Vietnam from 1968-1969. Frank married Debora Thompson in Majencia, Indiana on February 24, 1973. He was a truck driver for Marsh Supermarkets, retiring after 35 years. Frank attended the Lagro Fellowship Church. He was a member of the Parker City Masonic Lodge #630, the Teamsters Union Local 135, the Muncie Amvets, and the Marine Corp Heritage Foundation. He enjoyed woodworking, and was a member of the Saw Dust Gang. Frank also enjoyed fishing and hunting, was a master angler, and was a prankster.
He is survived by his wife, Debora Barth of Lagro; two children, Heather (Rodney) Tinsman of Lagro, and Daniel (Nicole) Barth of Peru, Indiana; three grandchildren, Alexis Miller, Hannah (Austin) Jones, and Elizabeth Barth, all of Peru; four great-grandchildren, Oliver Ingram, Hunter Jones, Kinsley Jones and Harmony Hight, all of Peru; and two brothers, Larry "Joe" (Pamela) Barth of Berlin Center, Ohio, and James (Barbara) Barth of Muncie, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Jennifer Brady and Michelyn Spolarich.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Shane Chellis officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County, Indiana. Friends may call 4-7 pm Monday, at the funeral home, and there will be a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm.
