PERU, IN- The Peru Community Schools Board of Trustees has voted to explore the possibility of leaving the Heartland Career Center cooperative. This is an exploratory step, not a final decision, and will take place over a period ending in June 2028. The district’s goals are to expand career and technical education programming within our schools, strengthen student experiences through closer partnerships with local employers, and achieve cost savings. We will carefully evaluate the educational, financial, and operational impacts and keep families, staff, and the community informed throughout the process.
