Mary Dale Sparks, 54, of Wabash, Indiana, passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, in Wabash. Born February 9, 1972, in Wabash to Jerry Allen and Eileen Lynn (Zook) Sparks, Mary grew up rooted in the community she loved.
A 1990 graduate of Wabash High School, Mary lived a life centered on simple joys and close relationships. She enjoyed walking, spending time with her boyfriend Daniel King, and being with her family. Home was her favorite place-where she found comfort watching movies and sharing quiet moments with her beloved cats, who were constant companions in her daily life.
Mary is survived by her siblings, Jennifer Chaplin of Wabash and Cory (Julie) Sparks of Hawaii; her nieces and nephew, including Stephanie (Jason) Smith; and her great‑niece, Charlotte Smith, all of Andrews, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Courtney Sparks, whom she carried in her heart throughout her life.
Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Grandstaff‑Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
