MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Program Director Singh from Miami Correctional Facility recently presented a $1,000 donation to the Board of Directors at the United Way of Miami County. This donation will help support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, an early literacy program that provides free books each month to children from birth through age 5.
More than 800 children in Miami County are currently participating in this valuable program. Singh believes investing in early literacy is an important part of building stronger communities and helping reduce incarceration rates in the future. MCF is honored to partner with the United Way in supporting this program and helping ensure it remains available to local children.
The United Way is seeking local businesses and community partners to help continue funding this program. If your business is interested in supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, please contact the United Way at (765) 473-4240.
