Mary Katherine “Kathy” Dudley, 68, Marion, passed away at 1:52 am on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, June 27, 1958, to Leonard Dudley and Rosa Long.
Kathy worked in fire restoration. She enjoyed playing cards, watching true crime television shows, playing shuffleboard, family dinners and cookouts, traveling, and mostly spending time with her family and friends. She also loved drinking coffee daily. Kathy never met a stranger and would have a conversation with anyone. She treasured her trips to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee with her son Tim, daughter-in-law Jenny, and sister Tracy.
Survivors include her son, Timothy (Jenny) Bean; daughters, Candis Bean, Billie-Rose McGibbon, Abigail Hall, Savannah Hall; sisters, Margaret Isaacs, Tracy Morris, Brenda Brubaker; grandchildren, Joel Hardin, Nicholas Phifer, Sebastian Phifer, Aurora Phifer, and one on the way, Marceline Hall; as well as several nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend, Laura Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Edward Dudley and Rosa Lee Long; sisters, Rebecca Waldron, Judy Karrick, Carol Johnson, Marcella Long; brother, William Long; and granddaughter, Chyna Chambers.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Kathy’s life will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating.
