Cindy E. Pate

August 3, 1959 ~ July 2, 2026

My sister Cindy was bon on Aug. 3, 1959. We lost her on July 2, 2026. the 66 years we had were not enough. Her passing was sudden and unexpected. She had a good life and a good run at it. Life wasn’t always easy, but she was tough as nails and did what was needed to get where she wanted to be. That was my big sister.

Cindy has two beautiful daughters she adored. Heather (Darren Lasley) and Cheryl Mae (Shaun Bradley). They both live in Louisville KY. along with four grandkids; Shaun Bradley Jr., Jasmine Bradley, Madison Sauer, and Majestic Sauer. All Four live in Louisville, too. They are all turning into young adult now and Cindy watched as they graduated and began to make their own way in the world. Grandma Cindy was so proud of and dearly and completely loved those kids.

Cindy moved to Cusseta, GA., while I was there… one of the best decisions she ever made! The slower, quieter pace suited her. She worked at the VFW and made a truck load of friends. She was hired at the Chattahoochee County Maintenance Dept. and loved it.

Lin Pate walked into Cindy’s life one day and changed her whole world. a quiet, gentle, southern man, with a heart of gold. They married and had several happy years together. Cancer took him from her. It took a part of her with him.

Cindy moved back home and got to spend time with mom (Sherrill Sheron) and me, Christy (George Bleicher) before losing mom a short while back. she really enjoyed gardening (she could grow anything), nature, and loved animals. Fishing was her favorite, especially when she could tease George about her catching fish of the day. We had a boatload of hee-haws and fun. I miss her so much already.

I have one true love left she had. Her big tough Tucker Cat. She doted on and spoiled that boy. tucker is with us now, and we can see the trauma he has gone through. We’re working on that.

Cindy has so many friends and special people she held in her heart, that I can’t list them all. So I will say this… just know that she loved and cherished each and everyone of you.

There will be a celebration of life for Cindy, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
