Pap worked at General Motors for more than 30 years, retiring in 2005. He was proud of his work and enjoyed being part of the General Motors factory band and the Crest Bowling League. Before his long career at GM, Charlie attended Ivy Tech, where he began his training in the trades. It was there that he met the love of his life, Becky. Over the years, he worked as a machine repairman, welder maintenance, and also earned a degree in installing phone systems.

Pap graduated from Southside High School. Charlie was a member of the NRA, A.B.A.T.E, and H.O.G, reflecting his love for motorcycles and the open road. A hardworking and fun‑spirited man, he loved his family deeply. He enjoyed playing his guitar, was a dedicated motorcycle and gun enthusiast, and took great pride in caring for his yard. He adored his grandchildren and treasured time spent with his dog, Milo.

Charlie was a family man at heart and also a homebody who loved the comfort of being at home with Becky.
