
Sandra K. Craig, 82, Marion, passed away in her home at 3:10 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Wednesday, October 6, 1943, to Floyd and Dorthea (Blunk) McDuffie. On July 30,1960, she married Orville E. Craig and he preceded her in death in 2012.
Sandra received her Bachelors degree from Indiana Institute of Technology. She retired from UTEC in 2001 and later became part of her beloved Walmart family, where she spent the last 25 years. She truly enjoyed working and the friendships she made along the way. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and was always one of their biggest supporters. A selfless and caring woman, she cherished every moment spent with her family, whether it was gathering together, going to lunch with her UTEC family, or enjoying relaxing golf cart rides. Her family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
Survivors include her daughter, Niccole (Daniel) Shaw of Marion; granddaughters, Amber (Evan) Hammond, Amy (Tim) Young, Abby (Mason) McKinney, Alivia Shaw; great-grandchildren, Jaelyn, Lauren, Titus, Brody, Eliza, Nolan (Nicole), Hunter, Madisyn, Avery, Kasen, Kash; and sisters, Betty Persinger and Karen Garrison.
Along with her beloved husband of 52 years, Orville E. Craig and parents, Floyd and Dorthea McDuffie, she is also preceded in death by her sons, Orville Edward “Eddie” Craig, Jr. and William Leroy “Billy” Craig, and sister, Judy Bettencourt.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 1, 2026 as well as 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 11:00 – 12 noon at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Sandra’s life will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel. Rev. Matthew Trexler will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
