Scholarships available through the Miami County Community Foundation



MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The Miami County Community Foundation’s summer scholarship applications will open on June 1. The application is available at www.nicf.org/miami-county/scholarships and must be submitted by Thursday, July 2.

Several scholarships are currently available to support Miami County residents in their pursuit of higher education:

· The Howard C. Unger Scholarship provides scholarships for string music students who have graduated from Muncie Community Schools, the Angola Public Schools, or the Peru Community Schools to assist in their obtaining college and graduate training in string music.

· Mary Lynn’s Nursing Scholarship provides support for educational scholarships for female residents of Fulton or Miami County who are accepted into an accredited nursing program at an Indiana institution of higher learning.

· The Raymond L. and Frances I. Jackson Veterinary Scholarship provides scholarships to students accepted to or already in a Doctoral Veterinary program in Indiana.

· The Hoppes Memorial Scholarship provides educational scholarships for graduating seniors of Maconaquah High School who are pursuing a degree at either Valparaiso University or Manchester University.

· Wilson-Wood Scholarship provides educational scholarships for students who are attending an accredited institution of higher learning, with particular attention going to graduates of Peru High School who are members of the Presbyterian Church of Peru.

· The Back Home Again in Indiana Scholarship supports non-traditional students who wish to pursue higher education and/or training to enhance their skills for employment. Non-traditional students include those who have graduated from high school or obtained a GED and have delayed entrance into college, rather than earning a degree immediately after high school.
