Born on January 27, 1953, in Huntington, Indiana, to Glen and Shirley (Knipp) Bowman, Daniel grew up with a strong sense of loyalty, grit, and devotion-qualities that shaped every part of his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daniel graduated from Huntington North High School in 1971. A year later, on December 16, 1972, he married the love of his life, Dalene Mansbarger, in Bippus, Indiana. Their marriage was a true partnership, built on humor, patience, and a deep, steady affection that carried them through more than five decades together. For 45 years, Daniel worked at Paperworks in Wabash, where he was known as someone who showed up, worked hard, and took pride in doing things the right way. He was a former member of the United Steel Workers and was respected for his dedication and reliability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outside of work, Daniel found joy in the simple things that made life feel full. He loved the roar of NASCAR, the comfort of his cats curled up nearby, and the freedom of riding his Harley-Davidson on an open road. But more than anything, he loved being with his family. Those moments-big and small-were the ones he treasured most. Daniel will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet strength, and the way he showed his love through action more than words. His family and friends will carry his stories, his laughter, and his unwavering loyalty with them always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is survived by his wife, Dalene Bowman of Wabash; three sons, Cory (Jennifer) Bowman of Huntington, Indiana, Casey (Lisa Cox) Bowman of Wabash, and Adam (Teri) Endsley of Decatur, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Shelby (Race) Newsome, Sydney (Tremar) Clore, Cole (Isabella) McCune-Herman, Molly (Kyle) Murphy, Jack (Emma) McCune, Tyler Endsley, and Anna Endsley; three great-grandchildren, Vivian Newsome, Vaeda Newsome, and Everett McCune; and three brothers, G. David (Susan) Bowman and J. Timothy (Mary) Bowman, both of Huntington, and Joseph (Maddie) Bowman of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A memorial service for Daniel will be 4:00 pm, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Mark Peters officiating.
