The female is alleged to have attempted taking items from the property and was belligerent with the residents and refused to leave the property.

At the request of the resident, Officers went to speak with the female to issue a criminal trespass warning. When Officers approached the female in the alley it was evident that she was heavily intoxicated. When Officers got closer, she began immediately yelling and screaming, causing a disturbance in the area. Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation with the female, however she refused to calm down.

During this situation, the female was issued a disorderly conduct warning which she ignored. Due to her disregard of the disorderly conduct warning and her public intoxication, Officers attempted to detain her and take her into custody. While attempting to take her into custody she began to forcibly resist Officers, and a struggle ensued. During the struggle the female allegedly grabbed a screwdriver and began yelling commands at her dog to ‘get’ Officers. At that time, the dog initially bit an Officer in his upper thigh. While the Officer was attempting to get away, the dog continuously lunged at the Officer and knocking him down and biting him a second time. To prevent further injury, another Officer discharged his duty weapon striking the dog. The dog owner, Erin Gray, was safely taken into custody for preliminary charges of disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement. The dog is deceased. Prior to being taken to the Wabash County Jail, Gray was taken for medical clearance due to her intoxication level.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:block;text-align:center"
        data-ad-format="autorelaxed"
        data-ad-client="0531879237494766"
        data-ad-slot="9212395598"></ins>

WABASH, IN- Today, April 14, 2026, at approximately 2:33pm, Officers with the Wabash Police Department were dispatched to the area of East Street and Oak Drive for an unwanted guest. Upon their arrival, Officers made contact with residents in the area who alleged that a female had entered their home that is currently under renovations. … Read more

[1

post-99235","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
WABASH, IN- Today, April 14, 2026, at approximately 2:33pm, Officers with the Wabash Police Department were dispatched to the area of East Street and Oak Drive for an unwanted guest. Upon their arrival, Officers made contact with residents in the area who alleged that a female had entered their home that is currently under renovations.…
["GET
