Daniel and Betty Beulah (Adkins) Daniel. Sarah was married to the late Charles \u201cCharlie\u201d W. McGinnis of Muncie, Indiana. She and Charlie made her home in Wabash, Indiana where they became a familiar and beloved presence in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church. In the 1970s, she worked at Clark\u2019s Grocery Store. Sarah found great joy in taking beach trips and loved sharing her own home-cooked meals during seaside and roadside picnics. She was wonderfully creative, using her talents to craft, decorate for birthday parties as well as her home. She lovingly made handmade clothes and costumes for her children, and she also enjoyed shopping and traveling whenever she could. For many years, she was well known throughout town as \u201cthe Avon Lady,\u201d building lasting friendships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is lovingly remembered and survived by her son, Gareth (Cindy) McAllister of Rocky Mount, Virginia; her daughters, Daniela (Bruce) Nitzband of Maryville, Tennessee, and Angela McAllister of Wabash, Indiana; her step-son, Steven (Mary) McGinnis of Marietta, Georgia; and her step-daughter, Patricia (Michael) Riwitis of Ringgold, Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sarah was a proud grandmother to Tyler (Kelly) McAllister of Roanoke, Virginia; Dylan (Turner) McAllister of Reston, Virginia; and known as \u201cGrandma Gee\u201d to Matthew (Victoria) Nitzband of Rockford, Tennessee; Melissa (Jacob) Williamson of Loudon, Tennessee; Miranda (Colten) King of Maryville, Tennessee; and Mark (Rebecca) Nitzband of Seymour, Tennessee; as well as nineteen great-grandchildren in Virginia and Tennessee; Sarah also had several step-grand children and great-grandchildren in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was preceded in death by her five brothers, Joe (Juanita) Daniel, T.V. (Coleen) Daniel, J.P. (Gladys) Daniel, Norman (Addie) Daniel, and David (Ruth Jayne) Daniel; two sisters, Mable (Don) Calaman and Eva (Leon) Nolan, all of Virginia; her grandson, Cole McAllister of Virginia; and her step-daughter, Toni McGinnis of Muncie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitation will be from 11:00 am &#8211; 12:00 pm, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Home, 1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash, on Tuesday April 7th. 2026. Funeral services beginning at 12:00 pm and burial to follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery.
