Crews will construct a Reduced Conflict Intersection. A Reduced Conflict Intersection is an alternative to a traditional roadway intersection on a four-lane highway. Instead of motorists crossing fast-moving lanes of traffic to get to the opposing lanes, drivers at an RCI turn right in the same direction of traffic, merge into the left lane, and then make a U-turn in the direction they intend to travel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Slotted left turn construction will also take place at the US 24 intersection with SR 13, Albert Street and SR 115. There will also be numerous pipe installations at various locations throughout the corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The entire US 24 corridor from SR 13 to SR 115 will have a complete resurface tentatively scheduled to take place in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drivers can expect alternating lane closures in both directions of US 24 for the duration of the project. Work on the project is expected to be complete in early November.
