Huff and Thomas H. Haggard. &nbsp;He was raised in Winchester, KY. He was drafted into the army during the Vietnam war where he became a SP5 and fought in the TET Offensive. After the army, he worked construction jobs, painted bridges and built houses until he moved to Marion in 1974 for work. He adopted two sons, Timothy and Jeffrey and had a daughter Jamie from his first marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">James got his GED then earned his degrees in industrial engineering, industrial management and his journeyman in tool and die. He worked at Anaconda, Active Products and then Dana where he retired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">James went on to marry Gloria Swain in 1989 and they raised her youngest daughter Leslee and enjoyed 18 years together until her death in 2007. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Haggard, his son Jeffrey Haggard, his stepson Virgil Baker, his sister Betty O\u2019 Hair, and his sister Joan Basham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is survived by his son Timothy Haggard from Paris, KY, his daughter Jamie Weaver-Glass from Carlisle, KY, his two stepdaughters, Traci Baker and Leslee Enyeart, both of Marion, IN. A sister, Modena Thompson from Cedar Park, TX, a brother Michael Faulkner from Lexington, KY. &nbsp;His grandkids, David and Acie Haggard, Kira, Sarek and Riker Weaver, Butchie and Matt Baker, Alyssa and Brianna Baker and Hannah Watson, Kyren McComas and Layne and Eastyn Enyeart. He is also survived by 15 great-grandkids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral &amp; Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate James&#8217;s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Les Turner officiating. &nbsp;Burial will take place at Forrestville Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Memories may be shared online at www.nswcares.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To send flowers to the family of James D.
