Kessinger, 88, of Wabash, passed away at 3:35 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Wabash, Indiana, on January 11, 1937, to Edward and Hazel (Bailey) Watts. On October 5, 1957, she married the love of her life, Lloyd B. Kessinger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carole graduated from Marion High School and continued her education at Marion Business College. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper with LaFontaine Livestock Sales and had previously worked at Dana in Marion. She was a member of the Roseburg Church of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carole cherished time spent going to bingo and playing cards, especially with her family, and was known for her spirited competitiveness. In her younger years, she and Lloyd enjoyed square dancing and were members of The Calico Sets Square Dance Club. She loved to travel&#8211;especially to Texas and to Nashville, Indiana&#8211;and treasured a memorable trip to Japan. A loyal fan of the Colts and Pacers, she also enjoyed relaxing with the Game Show Network. Carole will be remembered for her humor, quick wit, and love of sharing a good joke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carole is survived by her daughters, Janene (Mark) Wisniewski of Lagro, Indiana, and Laura (late Rick) Baughman of Wabash, Indiana; grandchildren, Taylor Ivy, Zachary (Isis) Ivy, Bill Wisniewski, Kevin (Theresa) Wisniewski, Christopher (Jenna) Frank, Aaron Baughman, Heather (Aaron Hampton) Baughman, and April Buompane; great\u2011grandchildren, Masen Ivy, Dylan Ivy, Greyson Ivy, Madelyn Ivy, Sabrina Frank, Olivia Baughman, Alex Frank, Kylee Brooks, Sofia Buompane, and Jackson Buompane; exchange\u2011student daughters, Sumi (Richard) McKeever of Japan and Maria (Renaldo) Canaes of Brazil; sister, Phyllis Ulshafer; brother\u2011in\u2011law, Dave Kessinger; sister\u2011in\u2011law, Becky Creech; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Hazel Watts; her husband, Lloyd B. Kessinger; her son, Kenneth K. Kessinger; her brother, Buddy Watts; and her sisters, Elizabeth Doyle, Thelma Gilbert, and Virginia Watts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral &amp; Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A celebration of Carole\u2019s life will follow at 12:00 noon with her son-in-law, Minister Mark Wisniewski, officiating.
