Thanks to the Lilly Endowment GIFT VIII $2-for-$1 matching program, this gift will be tripled, resulting in a $13,500 boost for Miami County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are honored to play a role in this transformative initiative,\u201d said Michael Kuhn of First Farmers Bank &amp; Trust. \u201cSupporting the Miami County Community Foundation means investing in the vitality and resilience of our hometowns. The Lilly Endowment\u2019s matching opportunity makes this moment even more meaningful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Community Funds are permanent endowments that grow over time to support local needs today and for generations to come. In the past year alone, grants from Miami County\u2019s Community Funds have supported projects like the Circus City Festival\u2019s upgraded sound system, new batting cages for the North Miami Youth League, and the Peru High School Drama Club\u2019s Spring musical. Dozens of other nonprofits, schools, and community groups benefit each year thanks to the generosity of donors to community funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Community Foundation applauds First Farmers Bank &amp; Trust leading the way and challenges other banks, businesses, and organizations to consider doing the same. Every dollar given to community funds right now is tripled, making this the perfect time to start a new fund or contribute to one already in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is a historic chance to strengthen our endowment,\u201d said Corinne Becknell Lucas, Executive Director of the Northern Indiana Community Foundation. \u201cTogether, we can ensure Miami County nonprofits and programs thrive for generations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The matching opportunity is available until December 31, 2025, or until matching funds are depleted.
