She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Barr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Penny will be lovingly remembered by her siblings: Brenda (Charlie) McCord, Dea (Butch) Masters and Larry (Christy) Mongosa, as well as many nieces and nephews who brought her great joy throughout her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Penny\u2019s warmth, humor and spirit touched everyone who knew her, including the nurses and aides who assisted her. Penny\u2019s life was a testament to her strength and resilience. A devoted believer in Jesus, her faith was the foundation of her life. It guided her through every season- giving her peace in hardship, joy in the everyday and hope beyond this life. She faced every challenge that came her way with grace, determination and a sense of humor that lifted those around her. Penny\u2019s strength wasn\u2019t&nbsp; loud &nbsp;but was deeply felt. It lived in her loyalty, her compassion and her unshakeable love for her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a final act of generosity, Penny chose to donate her body to scientific and medical research-a powerful reflection of her selfless nature and desire to help others, even beyond her time Earth-side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A celebration of life will be held at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice in Penny\u2019s memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arrangements have been entrusted to Alternative Cremation and Funeral Services in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
