Henline, Jr., age 80, of 1205 Allen Street, Roanoke, Indiana is the victim of a shooting that occurred at his residence on Thursday evening at approximately 9:08pm. Brandon L. Henline, age 46, and the decedents son who was residing at the same residence is the reported shooter. It is believed an argument triggered the incident.\r\n\r\nThe cause of death for Richard Henline is multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is homicide. The cause of death for Brandon Henline is a single gunshot wound, and the manner of death is suicide.\r\n\r\nORIGINAL RELEASE: HUNTINGTON COUNTY, IN- Huntington Central Dispatch received a 911 call around 9:08 PM on May 1, 2025,\r\nreporting a shooting that had occurred at a residence on Allen Street in Roanoke,\r\nIndiana. Responding units arrived to find two male victims suffering from gunshot\r\nwounds inside the residence. Both victims were treated at the scene and transported to\r\na Fort Wayne hospital in serious condition where both were subsequently pronounced\r\ndeceased a short time later. Detectives from the Huntington County Sheriff\u2019s Office,\r\n\r\nHuntington Police Department, Indiana State Police CSI, and the Huntington County\r\nCoroner\u2019s Office are investigating the incident.\r\n\r\nThe investigation is ongoing with the Huntington County Sheriff's Office, Indiana State\r\nPolice CSI, and Huntington County Coroner\u2019s Office.
