Following the presentation, a reception will take place in\r\nthe Parkview Ballroom at Eagles. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by D.H. Floyd\r\nand Associates.\r\n\r\nLaunched in 2017, the Media Arts Program prepares high school students for careers in business and\/or media-related\r\nindustries by developing their understanding of professional business practices, written and verbal communication skills, and\r\nindustry tools. The program takes place at the Eagles Theatre, where the INGUARD Editing Suite and Haist Family Studio\r\nprovide hands-on learning opportunities in audio\/video production.\r\n\r\nJessica Keffaber, Education Media Manager at Honeywell Arts &amp; Entertainment, serves as the instructor for the 29-member\r\nclass, which includes students from Huntington North, North Miami, Northfield, Oak Hill, Peru, Southwood, and Wabash High\r\nSchool, as well as Homeschool. Eighteen students are graduating seniors. After completing the Media Arts Program, graduated\r\nstudents have begun careers in the media industry and\/or moved on to study Media Arts in college.\r\n\r\nWhen asked about the most important concept learned this year from the Media Arts Program, Southwood High School junior\r\nSebastian Liebo said, \u201cI learned how to think more for myself, and at the same time, how to work with a team more efficiently.\r\nI've learned how to record audio and music in ways I never knew before and am more confident than ever in my ability to record\r\nand mix audio and music on a professional level.\u201d Alea Fleck, a homeschool senior, added, \u201cWhen I came into this class, I had a\r\nlittle idea about what I wanted to do, but being in this class for two years helped me decide what I want to do in the future.
