Dr. Kuhn will assume the role following the retirement of current superintendent Mike Keaffaber. Dr. Kuhn has served as the district’s Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations since 2016.

Dr. Kuhn brings over 23 years of experience in education. His career began in Westfield, Indiana, as a Biology teacher and coach at Westfield Middle and High Schools. He later served as the Assistant Principal at Southwood Jr/Sr High School and as Principal at LaFontaine Elementary and Southwood Elementary, focusing on academic achievement and fostering a strong school culture.

Dr. Kuhn shared his enthusiasm for his new role: “I am honored and humbled to step into this position and continue serving MSDWC students, educators, and families. MSDWC has been more than a workplace—it’s been a family and a place that has afforded me the opportunity to grow as a person and leader. I look forward to supporting our talented educators, mentoring school leaders, and collaborating with the community to help our students discover and achieve their passion and potential as they prepare for their futures.”

In addition to his work in education, Dr. Kuhn is an active member of several professional organizations and boards, including the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP), the Wabash Rotary Club, the Wabash YMCA, and the Indiana Association of School Business Officials (IASBO) where he was recently named Indiana Region 5 School Business Official of the Year.
