Cottrell, 63, of Marion, passed away at 6:09 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Marion Health. He was born in Logansport, Indiana, on Wednesday, May 24, 1961, to Jesse and Garnett \"Betty\u201d (Taylor) Cottrell. On October 29, 1988, he married Brenda K. Peterson, and she preceded him in death on September 5, 2024.\r\n\r\nJesse graduated from Twin Lakes High School and was a mechanic throughout his life. He loved working on cars or really anything with his hands. Jesse enjoyed his family and especially took joy in loving on his grandkids.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include his sons, Chris (Michelle) Cottrell of Marion, Shaun (Angela) Logan of Kokomo, Brandon (Holly) Peterson of Gas City, and Jesse Paul Moore; grandchildren, Taylor, Dylon, Rilynn, Michael, Jessilynn, Nevaeh, Sophie, Schyler, Kaidence, Noah, Braydon, Chase, and Alexia; brothers, Barry (Debbie) Cottrell and Larry (Faye) Cottrell; sisters, Ann (late Dennis) Pitcher, Jessica \u201cTinker\u201d (Jim) Cottrell, Melva Murphy, and Margret \u201cPeanut\u201d (late Jack) Cripps; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda K. Cottrell; father, Jesse Cottrell; mother, Garnett \u201cBetty\u201d Cottrell; and sisters, Brenda Cottrell and Delores Agee.\r\n\r\nThe family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral &amp; Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N.
