Powell, 93, of Marion, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 22, 2025. \u00a0Liz married Don Powell on July 4, 1948. \u00a0They were married for 66 years until Don's passing in 2014. \u00a0They were lifelong Marion residents but spent many winters in St. Petersburg, Florida, where they had many cherished friends.\r\n\r\nLiz was a long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and, most recently, attended College Wesleyan Church. \u00a0She loved God, her husband, and her family. \u00a0In 1962, Liz was selected as Grant County \"Mother of the Year\". \u00a0She was involved in many clubs and organizations, and she volunteered at Marion General Hospital.\r\n\r\nLiz is survived by her son, Mike (Judy) Powell; grandchildren, Ryan (Kristi) Irving, Lindsay Irving, and Cory (Katie) Powell; and great-grandchildren, Owen Irving, Hudson Powell, and Blake Powell.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; daughter, Linda Powell; and parents, Andy and Ada Yunker.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank Cedar Creek Assisted Living and Stillwater Hospice for their kind and loving care.\r\n\r\nThere will be a private ceremony for the family.\r\n\r\nIf you would like to honor Liz with a donation, please direct it to Westminster Preschool, 5318 S.
