This year is the sixth\r\nPerformance Leadership Award received by Parkview Huntington Hospital since 2016 and has been named a Top 100 hospital by Chartis four times over that same span.\r\n\u201cOur patients know that they have access to high-quality care and a great experience whenever they walk through the doors at Parkview Huntington Hospital,\u201d said Deb Potempa, market\r\npresident, Parkview Health South. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to once again be recognized by The Chartis Center as one of the nation\u2019s top-performing rural hospitals as we continue to deliver excellent\r\nservice to Huntington County and the surrounding area.\u201d\r\nThe Performance Leadership Awards are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX\u00ae, a comprehensive and objective framework for assessing how rural hospitals are performing. INDEX benchmarks are relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations, and state offices of rural health to measure performance across multiple areas impacting hospital operations and finance.\r\nParkview Huntington Hospital was not the only facility recognized by The Chartis Center this year, as Parkview DeKalb Hospital was also recognized for outcomes.
