During the patrol, troopers issued 24 citations and 58 warnings. In addition to proactive enforcement efforts, troopers responded to and managed 33 calls for service.\r\n\r\nKey statistics from the patrol include:\r\n\r\n- 6 Arrests for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)\r\n\r\n- 20 Criminal Arrests\r\n\r\n-6 Drug-Related Arrests\r\n\r\n-7 Felony Charges\r\n\r\n-4 Driving While Suspended Prior Arrests\r\n\r\nThis effort reflects the Indiana State Police's dedication to enforcing the law and protecting the public from the risks posed by impaired and dangerous drivers. The patrol was part of a broader initiative to improve traffic safety and reduce accidents related to impaired driving.\r\n\r\n\"We are committed to keeping our roads safe for all Hoosiers,\" said TJ Zeiser, Commander of the Peru Post. \"The result of this patrol demonstrates our resolve to identify and remove dangerous drivers from the road. We will continue to carry out similar operations to ensure the safety of our community.\"\r\n\r\nTo report a suspected impaired driver, please call 9-1-1.
