The study helps participating hospitals and health systems<br>understand their performance against their peers and identifies structures and processes<br>associated with high performance in quality and safety across a broad spectrum of patient care<br>activity.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cProviding high-quality hospital care to our rural communities is central to our mission at<br>Parkview Health,\u201d said Dr. Jeffrey Boord, chief quality and safety officer, Parkview Health. \u201cWe<br>continuously invest in evidence-based processes and programs that help our community<br>hospital co-workers and medical staff provide excellent care. This requires a systemwide<br>approach and long-term commitment.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, 1,348 participating hospitals were segmented into seven cohorts for the Vizient<br>Quality and Accountability Study. The study measures performance in six domains of patient<br>care quality: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient-centeredness, and variation<br>in care.
