Mike Braun on Monday presented 34 Indiana companies with the Governor\u2019s Century or Half Century Business Award. The honor recognizes businesses for the \u201cdedication and resilience they have shown\u201d over many decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The awards are presented to Hoosier businesses that have remained in operation for a minimum of 100 or 50 consecutive years and have demonstrated a commitment to community service, Braun\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThese 34 businesses have been powering Indiana\u2019s economy for decades and are true examples of the Hoosier spirit and work ethic, demonstrating a remarkable commitment to their crafts, their customers and their communities,\u201d Braun said in a news release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 1,300 Indiana companies have been recognized during the award\u2019s 34-year history.
