{"id":100819,"date":"2026-06-29T11:10:27","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T15:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/masterzradio.net\/?p=100819"},"modified":"2026-06-29T11:10:31","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T15:10:31","slug":"marion-man-charged-with-csam-possession-while-on-parole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/masterzradio.net\/?p=100819","title":{"rendered":"Marion man charged with CSAM possession while on parole"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<!--AUTO-AD-BEFORE-->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\"\n        data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\n        data-ad-layout-key=\"-gw-3+1f-3d+2z\"\n        data-ad-client=\"0531879237494766\"\n        data-ad-slot=\"5600453644\"><\/ins>\n    <script>(adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});<\/script>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GRANT COUNTY, IN \u2014 This from fox59.com: A Marion man has once again been charged with possession of child sex abuse material (CSAM), coming after he pleaded guilty to CSAM possession in March 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Grant County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Jacob Deck was charged earlier this month with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One count of failure to register as a sex or violent offender, a Level 6 felony<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 counts of possession of child sex abuse material, each a Level 5 felony<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two counts of possession of child sex abuse material, each a Level 6 felony<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fox59.com\/news\/marion-man-arrested-for-possession-of-child-pornography\/\">previous reports<\/a>, Deck was found with CSAM during a search of his home. Law enforcement was first alerted to Deck after officials received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Due to his conviction, officials stated that Deck is required to register as a sex or violent offender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials stated that Deck is currently on parole and probation. He has been incarcerated since April 30 on a reported parole violation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A news release from the Grant County Sheriff\u2019s Office stated that a new investigation began after the county\u2019s probation office contacted the Grant County Sex Offender Registry \u201cregarding concerns involving a cell phone being used by Deck\u201d in April. This led law enforcement to issue a search warrant for the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During an interview with Deck, the release stated that he told officers he used the phone to search for and view images. Deck stated it \u201cbegan with adult pornography and then \u2018spiraled outward.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The release said that as part of the investigation, officials stated that Deck reportedly did not register required email or online account information on his electronic device as part of the sex offender registry requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCases like this show the value of communication between agencies,\u201d Grant County Sheriff Del Garcia said in the release. \u201cGrant County Probation saw something concerning and contacted the Sex Offender Registry. From there, our office was able to follow the evidence and take the appropriate steps.
